Puralink raises $2.5M to accelerate autonomous pipe inspection
Puralink has raised $2.5 million in pre-seed funding, led by Peak XV Partners, to support the development of the Ferret and bring autonomous pipe inspection technology to more customers.

The round brings together investors who share our ambition to improve how critical infrastructure is inspected and understood. Backers include Side Stage Ventures, Startmate, NZVC and Wollemi Capital Group, alongside angel investors including Deputy co-founder Ashik Ahmed, Four Pillars Gin co-founder Matt Jones and NBA champion Matthew Dellavedova. Puralink began with a problem that is easy to overlook because it sits beneath our feet. Pipe networks are essential, but inspecting them can be difficult, and incomplete information makes maintenance decisions harder.
We’re building the Ferret to help service providers navigate complex pipe infrastructure and collect detailed inspection and mapping data. The aim is to give crews a better understanding of the assets they inspect, supporting more informed decisions about what needs attention and where.
Our early customers have played a major role in shaping that approach. Saltire Infrastructure, Watertight Group and Service Stream have supported the development of the platform through access to real environments and practical industry feedback. Their involvement helps us connect engineering decisions with the work inspection teams need to do. Read Forbes Australia’s coverage.
The funding allows us to expand the engineering team and continue developing the robot, its autonomy and the systems that support it. It builds on the work of the founders, early team members and the support we received through Cicada Innovations and Startmate.
Huge thanks to our investors, customers and everyone who believed in Puralink while the technology was still taking shape. We’re excited to turn that support into more testing, better tools and useful outcomes in the field.
Time to build some Ferrets.
